FAQ
GENERAL
Has learning conjugations and declensions ever been this easy?
No.
Has learning conjugations and declensions ever been this much fun?
No.
Are Lingua Loops a complete language course?
No. Lingua Loops are only for the hardest part of language learning: remembering conjugations and declensions.
What age range are Lingua Loops appropriate for?
Ages 0-100.
What kind of music is it?
For the most part, it is rather relentless pop, with some rock, jazz, classical, folk, and techno thrown in for variety.
Should the student use Lingua Loops right at the beginning of language study?
Yes. By watching the most basic loops when first taking up a language, the student quickly gets the most basic patterns stuck in their head. Students are often overwhelmed when they encounter tables with dozens of entries. However, Lingua Loops give the student an immediate idea of the totality of the endings because a melody's complexity or simplicity reflects that of the table. Things like stress that students normally devote considerable effort to are usually made transparent in the musical context. That is by design and non-trivial.
Also right at the beginning of language study, Lingua Loops expose the student to paradigms of perfect pronunciation by native speakers--at least for the living languages.
Should the student use Lingua Loops later in language study?
Yes. As the student proceeds through the language, they should just proceed through the loops at the same pace. For example, when beginning study of the future, the student should watch the loop for the future. We don't recommend trying to memorize all the loops at once as it is much easier to get melodies stuck in one's head one at a time. Of course, there is nothing stopping the ambitious or curious student from watching all the loops. A catchy melody may draw the student into taking an interest in some of the more advanced patterns.
Should the student use Lingua Loops when cramming?
Yes. A faster method of learning conjugation and declensions does not exist.
Should the student use Lingua Loops when returning to language study after a long hiatus?
Yes. Conjugations and declensions are some of the hardest things to learn and some of the easiest things to forget. But with Lingua Loops, the returning student quickly refamilarizes themself with both pattern and pronunciation.
What do the colors mean?
Loops are colored simply to help the student quickly find whatever loop they are watching at the moment. There is a very loose system for the loops whereby present tenses are green, past tenses are autumn colors, future tenses are purples, subjunctives are red and orange, conditionals are grey, and passives are faded.
This is too much fun. How can I get it now?
Lingua Loops are available for streaming via this website. Annual subscriptions for individuals are available on the language pages. Annual subscriptions for educational institutions are available on the teachers page.
Are there any plans for other languages?
Yes, we are looking at Modern Greek and Arabic. But if there is a language you would like to have loops for, drop us a line on our
contact page and let us know.

here and the Cleeng Cookie Policy
here.
When you visit the site, some cookies are placed on your computer in order to provide strictly necessary functionality, e.g., our security partner
Stackpath places cookies on your computer to ensure the security of our service.
When you register for the service or create an account, you consent to the use of further cookies. We, along with Cleeng, place these further cookies on your computer to securely deliver the videos to which you have subscribed.
The cookies that we ourselves place on your computer are not used to collect any of your personal data. Please see Cleeng's Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy to learn about the cookies that Cleeng places on your computer and what they are used for. Cleeng handles subscriptions and billing, so they have to collect your personal data. You should familiarize yourself with Cleeng's policies as your use of this service requires your acceptance of them. We also rely on a handful of third party services such as hosting companies and content delivery networks. These services make use of your IP address because it is necessary to serve the pages, images and videos that make up this site. And, if you contact us via our
contact page, we have whatever personal data you share with us at that time. Our email is provided by a third party service.
In addition, when you visit our website, you have the option of allowing the placement of cookies that allow us to gather statistics. We use Google Analytics for aggregated, anonymized website traffic analysis. In order to track your session usage, Google drops a cookie (_ga) with a randomly-generated ClientID in your browser. This ID is anonymized and contains no identifiable information like email, phone number, name, etc. We also send Google your IP Address. We use GA to track aggregated website behavior, such as what pages you looked at, for how long, and so on. This information is important to us for improving the user experience and determining site effectiveness. If you would like to access what browsing information we have or ask us to delete any GA data please delete your _ga cookies and contact us
here.
We use the hCaptcha anti-bot service (hereinafter "hCaptcha") on our
contact page. This service is provided by Intuition Machines, Inc., a Delaware US Corporation ("IMI"). hCaptcha is used to check whether the data entered on our website (such as on a login page or contact form) has been entered by a human or by an automated program. To do this, hCaptcha analyzes the behavior of the website or mobile app visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website or mobile app visitor enters a part of the website or app with hCaptcha enabled. For the analysis, hCaptcha evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, how long the visitor has been on the website or app, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis will be forwarded to IMI. hCaptcha analysis in the "invisible mode" may take place completely in the background. Website or app visitors are not advised that such an analysis is taking place if the user is not shown a challenge. Data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (DSGVO): the website or mobile app operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its site from abusive automated crawling and spam. IMI acts as a "data processor" acting on behalf of its customers as defined under the GDPR, and a "service provider" for the purposes of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). For more information about hCaptcha and IMI's privacy policy and terms of use, please visit the following links:
hCaptcha Privacy Policy and
hCaptcha Terms of Service.
In accordance with GDPR, you can change your preferences at any time by going to the
Cookie Settings.
